My company hasn’t found any bad infectious diseases. I have worked on several bad bacteria, with the most dangerous being Burkholderia pseudomallei (bioterrorism agent and top 3 killer in Thailand) and Neisseria meningitidis which causes meningitis.

We haven’t found any new infectious diseases – the research I do for my PhD involves investigating lots of parasites, like microsporidia, that cause infections that have stomach bug – like symptoms like vomiting, fever, diarrhoea etc.
We have not discovered a disease yet…but we find treatment/solutions for existing diseases and how we can stop the formation of any future diseases by our current work.
