      I try to understand how the cells respond to a component from bacteria.

      Once we add the bacteria component we measure the changes that occur in the cell to work out how the cell responds to bacteria.

      We then use crispr/cas9 system to delete certain genes which seem to be important in the response to prove that they are involved

      I try to prove why bacteria has developed resistance and the underlying mechanisms behind it. My work is mainly on evolution of bugs 🙂
