Sometimes science can be repetitive. To make sure your discoveries are real you have to repeat experiments lot of times. These experiments can be large including thunderheads of samples. So being honest it can be a little boring at times, but when you have your results it is very exciting.

When experiments don’t work. It can be frustrating actually…

Failed experiments and repetitive work are the worst bits. More often than not a experiment doesn’t work as planned or a drug that works beautifully in initial experiments fails to work in more complex settings.

Similar to what the other scientists have said, it can be repetative. If you are analysing 300 samples you need to use the same method to keep your results consistant but this means you need to do the same thing 300 times! This can make it hard to focus if you having a bad day or you are tired and then mistakes can happen which is obviously very annoying.

experiments that take a long time that fail… some experiments take several days to weeks
