• Question: As scientists would you say that your pay is sustainable?

      The pay is not very good considering skill level. I will not stay in academic science labs for this reason

      I live in Norwich where housing is fairly cheap so pay here is sustainable. I not so sure elsewhere in the country.

      The pay isn’t great but becasue my partner works too we are ok. What is hard is that most scientistis have to start working on temporary contracts which only last a couple of years, looking for a new job again so frequently can be very stressful.

      It is ok I feel, but I am always grateful for what I get. My aim in life is to have an impact on peoples lives and if I can do that I consider myself very blessed!
