Question: Have you ever treated any animals?

Yes, I have performed minor surgery on mongooses and meerkats. This has mainly been to attach radio-tracking collars and micro-chips to them so that my research team can find the animals. We have to put the animals to sleep (under anaesthetic) to do this otherwise they would become very stressed. You have to be very careful to keep an animal warm whilst it is asleep and to make sure it is breathing properly.
