Yes but only for medical research which is highly monitored and has very high welfare for the animals. There is often no other way to test a new treatment so animal testing is vital for medical science. We are constantly finding new ways to reduce the number used, refine the models and replace with alternatives such as cell culture, 3D cell culture, ex vivo studies and use of insects or zebra fish embryos.

This is very difficult, for cosmetics and nonmedical products NO, not at all!

For medical research I think there was a time when animal reserach was very helpful and has saved many lives. Now we have lots of other ways to test drugs, for example we can grow skin and other tissues in labs and we can test things on people who voluteer. I think there will soon be a time where animal testing becomes a thing of the past
